How Are Services Delivered?

Services are usually delivered to children in two ways:

  • directly to a child by a teacher, therapist or other early intervention specialist. This person will also consult with the family and, if appropriate, with other people like child care staff or other service providers.

  • indirectly to a child through consultation. This consultation occurs by talking with the family and others, if appropriate, and sharing information about how to help the child.
